The Society is established in the year 1976 for printing the entire text books required by the school children in the Kerala State. From 1976 onwards the Society executes this time bound task as per the print order received from the General Education Department and the syllabi provided by the SCERT. Textbooks required for all students from Std I to Std X of Government, Aided and Unaided sectors have been printed by KBPS.

Most modern Printing Machines are used for printing of textbooks with high quality in four colour as specified by the Government. Printing Machines used for printing are:

KBPS are high speed automatic machines suitable for large volume of production. Kerala Books and Publications Society have computerized Pre-Press facilities. The Society is equipped with the most moden Printing and Binding Machines.

Text Book Distribution

The Kerala Books and Publications Society (KBPS) is equipped to complete the distribution of volume-I textbooks before the school re-opening every year and subsequently Volume II and Volume III textbooks on time.
